ABOUT

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you become a CSA member, you are purchasing a share of what the farm produces in a given year.  In turn, you will receive a weekly supply of seasonal veggies for the selected season of your choice. When you sign up for the CSA you are helping your farmer with upfront cash for things like seeds, compost, labor, and all that goes into preparing for a successful growing season.

A CSA is a great way to eat locally grown, nutrient dense produce, and provides members an opportunity to try new varieties that are not usually found in grocery stores.

FAQs

But wait, I still have questions…

When does the season start and end?

Our Summer Share is 16-weeks and runs from mid-June to late-September. Our Winter Share is 8-weeks and runs early-October through late-November.

How does weekly ordering & pickup/delivery work?

CSA pickups are every Thursday from 4:00pm – 6:30pm at our farm in Finley or every Saturday from 9am – 11:30am at Café Magnolia in Kennewick.

Delivery is available for $10 per delivery ($160/share) within the Tri-Cities. Shares are delivered Thursday afternoon’s between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

What happens if I go on vacation/need to skip a week?

Please arrange to have a family member or friend pickup your share in your place. Unfortunately we are not able to change delivery locations or carry over weekly shares.

What if I can't pick up my share on time?

Please contact us ahead of time if you cannot pickup your share on time. Shares not picked up on time will be held for a maximum 24 hours before being donated to a local food pantry.

Can I substitute something in my box?

We do not do substitutions. Fresh, locally grown produce has a distinguished taste that you cannot find at the grocery store, so you might actually fall in love with something new!

How do I get your pastured lamb?

It is critical to know what is in your food. A factor often overlooked is the downstream effects of poor animal management; do you know what your food was eating? Do you know how it lived? Bottom line – happy animals taste better! Our lambs are an integral part of our rotational grazing system. This approach results in healthier and happier animals. God designed ruminants to eat grasses and forage – so our lambs are 100% grass-fed on our pastures and moved weekly throughout the season. We evaluate our lamb offerings quarterly and offer full or half lamb shares throughout the year.

How do I get your pastured pork?

It is critical to know what is in your food. A factor often overlooked is the downstream effects of poor animal management; do you know what your food was eating? Do you know how it lived? Bottom line – happy animals taste better! Our pigs are a part of our rotational grazing system and provided a steady diet of organic feed, supplemented with crop residues, roots, grasses, grubs, and other forage. We evaluate our pork offerings quarterly and offer full or half shares throughout the year.
